The revival of Netflix’s ‘Mystery Science Theater 3000’ is gone

Netflix has announced that it will not be making another season of the show “Mystery Science Theater 3000”( an American television comedy series). For some fans, the timing is very sad as Thanksgiving is the unofficial holiday in this clique series about a man and two robots laughing at some bad movies.

In the year 1988, during the holiday of Thanksgiving, the show premiered on Comedy Central, with marathons being aired around the holiday by the network. Channels like FactoryTV, Shout! And Twitch also hosted the show later.

Host Jonah Ray announced the news on Twitter, tweeting that Netflix has decided not to do another season of MST3K. He added that they are off to Get Down in Lilyhammer while the OA helps them take it One Day At A Time. They will be in group therapy with Tuca & Bertie, Jessica Jones, & Lady Dynamite. These sessions will be run by Gypsy (w/ Naomi Watts.)”

Jonah Ray continued by saying that they are unaware of what the future holds for this show as it always finds a way to survive right from Comedy Central to SyFy and then also kept going by Cinematic Titanic and RIFFTRAX. He wants everyone to know that no matter what happens, getting a chance to be on the show is a dream come true.

In the year 2015, the series fans made contributions to a Kickstarter campaign to raise the show. The campaign was launched by the creator and original star Joel Hodgson and, raised $5,764,229 in a month. Another $425,000 was raised outside of Kickstarter and, both combined was enough to shoot 14 episodes.
